Works commence on 15th March 2010 and are scheduled to take 22 weeks. Work is being done in small staged phases and Ashridge is liaising closely with Reading Borough Council as well as local shopkeepers and residents to ensure the least disruption.

The project features some of the latest WIFI technology for highways with completely remote, cableless traffic management systems being installed. These vehicle and bus detection systems remove the requirement for ducting and cabling not only providing a cost saving but also allowing much quicker installation.

Peter Jones, Managing Director commented, "I am delighted that our expertise has been recognised with the award of this contract and that it enables us to continue our successful working relationship with Peter Brett Associates, the engineers for the project."
